Such an interesting post. I love hearing about your animals and how they get along with each other.

So glad you are posting this experience. It is very interesting for me, an urban girl. I love seeing and hearing about your animals.
Thanks!

Such a treat for a city spinner to read in detail about sheep and donkeys and dogs and llamas and the rest. And from the comfort of home without needing to go out and scoop up manure. Many thanks for writing and sharing.

Very interesting dynamics from the perspective of the sheep and donkeys and how hilarious (sort of) that they all lined up behind the donks when all freaked out in the paddock. I wonder if they were of regular height and not the size of sheep perse if they would have felt safer from up high. Great post. Looking forward to how things continue to unfold.

I can just visualize the running and mayhem. Hopefully they'll all settle soon!

I started out laughing, then realized this is going to be quite the adjustment period, not just for the sheep and donks, but you also. Good Luck.
Thank you so much for the updates. I so enjoy reading all about the goings on of your farm.

Thanks for sharing your very interesting day. I love living vicariously through your posts. :)

When we acquired our first rescue llama in '92, the amazing Brylor, he came with a donkey (gelded) that had also been rescued from the same abuser. Brylor immediately bonded with my mom's flock of sheep, the donkey did not. We kept them all in side-by-side paddocks (separate sheds for each species) and later in side-by-side pastures for an entire summer, but the donkey never became accustomed to the sheep. His first instinct, always, with the sheep was to kick and kick hard at them. Eventually we realized it was never going to work out, and the rescue org took back the donkey. He was placed shortly after at a horse farm and was so much happier.
